Hi, my name
is Elke Clauberg-Sheehy and I established Enniskerry Essentials
in 2002 Those who
visit my site regularly will find it a little odd that I've done away with the
"we-business".
Surely, if the going gets tough, I can always call on my family to help out. My, and
therefore the Enniskerry Essentials philosophy is: natural ingredients
Whats in it is on it (all ingredients are listed on the product)
Whenever possible, use locally sourced natural, and wherever possible, Produce all products with the least possible impact on the environment.
How
long do natural products last? With
natural cosmetics, you can take as rule of thumb a minimum of six months after
opening. However, when treated and stored properly, this is the absolute minimum
duration. Natural cosmetics and crèmes should always be kept in a cool, dry
place. Should you decide to not use a product for a while, it is advisable that
you keep it in the fridge. Additionally, there are another few points to
consider: Never keep natural cosmetics in a warm place (for example: near a
radiator, in direct sunlight or in the car on hot days/near hot air vent). Always close bottles, tubes and pots well, because contact with air will help oxidization and the product might become rancid. If your cream comes in pots, try to use a little spatula if possible, but at least make sure that your hands are very clean, in order to avoid contamination. Trust your nose: sometimes a little oil separates in a cream, but this does not necessarily mean that it has gone off. A cream or lotion that’s gone off, smells gone off. Don’t “stock up” on natural creams and cosmetics. Use one or two (daycream/nightcream) at a time. This way you make sure that the products you are using are always fresh. Freshly made natural cosmetics are something very luxurious
